“What Other Peripheral Equipment is Needed?”
Most new diaper machines do not include all of the auxiliary equipment required to run the line unless ordered specifically. Most diaper machine builders will probably include hot melt tanks with heads and hoses, vacuum pumps, and rotary cutting dies; a few will also include the dust collector room and the SAP applicator, but few will deliver the machine with an automatic diaper inspection vision system unless it is negotiated at the time of placing the order. You will also need an air compressor, the air dryer on the air accumulator tank, and maybe a humidifier if the factory is to be located in a very dry place. If possible, you should also consider an air-conditioning system; if cost becomes an issue, you may consider at least a water-cooler system. The temperature of the building will rise when machines start working. Hot melt tanks and motor fans used to generate vacuum will also generate a considerable amount of heat. An air extraction system will also be needed. You will also require the packaging equipment, such as the bag sealer and the box sealer. If you are planning to pack small bags at high speed, you will also need automatic packaging equipment, such as Optima, Gevas, or an equivalent.
You should never run a diaper factory without a quality control laboratory with trained personnel to check the quality before you dispatch any diapers to the markets. You will need to purchase some basic laboratory equipment, such as an oven, a tensile material tester, a densimeter, a microscope, a couple of scales (low and high resolution), among other things.
